Welcome Waggers are affiliated with TDI's "Children's Reading to Dogs Program". Therapy Dogs International, Inc. (TDI) is a volunteer group organized to provide qualified handlers and their therapy dogs for visitation in a variety of settings.
Research shows that reading to the dogs in a non-judgemental, relaxed environment helps children to hone their oral reading skills and reduce their nervousness in other situations.
