Donation Policy

At the Taylor Community Library
Donated materials: The library accepts donations of new and gently used books, DVD's, BluRays, CD's and audiobooks.  Textbooks, VHS tapes, magazines, encyclopedias, Reader's Digest Condensed Books and Cassettes are not accepted.  All donations must be brought inside the library.  Any donations left outside of the library cannot be used. 

Donations and Memorials are also gratefully accepted.  When making a donation, the following information must be submitted:  A letter with the names of the person(s) who the donation is being made in honor/memory of; an acknowledgement address; and the name and address of donor.  Acknowledgement cards will be sent to both the contact person and the donor.  A bookplate with the name of the honoree and the donor will be placed in the donated item.

Monetary donations can be made in any amount.  These donation will be used to purchase materials for the library.  These materials will be selected at the discretion of the library staff.  Bookplates will also be placed in them.  

Memorial Bricks:  The library conducts an ongoing Memorial Brick Project.  Memorial Bricks may purchased for $30.00 each.  Bricks may be used to commemorate any of the following:  birthdays, anniversarys or special occassions.  They may also be used in remeberance of a loved one.
